Mosgiel asked to splash out for the pool - 12th Dec 2017

The Mosgiel Business Association has teamed up with the Festival of the Plain to announce the addition of a new deluxe event within the festival for 2018, with profits to go to the new aquatic centre fund.

Champagne, canapes and a lavish meal will be on offer at the Black-Tie Dinner and Dance. This is to be held at the historic Burns Lodge and will include a silent auction, guest speakers and live entertainment.

Mosgiel Business Association Chairman and manager of Burns Lodge Clinton Chambers said: “The most effective way to cope with change is to help create it, all businesses in Mosgiel are in support for the pool as it brings job opportunities and growth to our region, this is opportunity for us to get behind this vision and do it in style”.

Tickets are $130 per person with all profits to be donated to the pool project.

With only 100 seats available, it will be an exclusive event and expected to sell out.

Kristy Compton, coordinator of this event said: “Mosgiel is now a big enough community in its own right to host an event like this. People should not have to head over the hill to Dunedin Central to dress up and step out in style. It will be a fun night for a cause we all want to see come to fruition”.

The event will be held on Saturday 24th February 2018.
